Note that race organizers have a right to determine if gear or gift certificates qualify as “cash replacement” value; in other words, they generally will be outdoor gear or gift certificates that can be used as top finisher prizes.
Businesses that sponsor multiple events in a year will have their minimums lowered or awareness increased.
